How to draw Pokémon Jirachi in 10 steps

What you will need

 A pencil

 Paper to draw on

 Colored pencils

Starting our drawing

1. First draw four construction guidelines. One down the center of the page, one horizontal across the middle and two diagonal lines.  We will be erasing this line later so don’t make it too dark.

2. Next, let’s just start on the top of our Jirachi. We will draw three shapes that are similar to half a football.  Draw one on the top and two on either side.  Use the guidelines to help with placement.

3. Now we will add in the second half of Jirachi’s head. There are two rounded extensions on either side of Jirachi’s face.

4. Our next step will be to draw the face. We will draw the mouth right at the intersection where all the guidelines meet.  The eyes will be ovals with a perfect circle inside for the pupils.  Draw small triangles under the eyes.  Draw two curved lines under the eyes and mouth to form the bottom of the head.

5. Body is next! Use the guidelines to help draw the body and legs.  Remember to show the eyelid in the middle which is almost like a smile in the middle of the body.

6. We will continue by adding Jirachi’s arms and hands. Jirachi’s arms will be drawn on either side of the body.  Show three fingers protruding from each arm.

7. Now we can add in the comet tails coming from Jirachi’s back. Draw them to either side of the body.

8. We are almost there! Now we just add in the three wish tags that are located on each protrusion on the head. Draw three rectangles.  They don’t have to be perfect.  Don’t worry about overlapping lines, we will be removing those on the next step.

9. Now our Jirachi is almost done! We can remove the unnecessary construction lines and the overlapping lines.  Our drawing has the lines we are removing as red.

10. We are done and can color away!
