How to draw Pokémon Torchic in 10 steps

What you will need

 A pencil

 Paper to draw on

 Colored pencils

Starting our drawing

1. First thing first, draw four construction guidelines. One down the center of the page, one horizontal across the middle and two diagonal lines.  We will be erasing this line later so don’t make it too dark.  These lines will help guide us in drawing our Torchic.

2. Next, let’s just start on Torchic’s head. Torchic’s head is almost a circle.  However, it is slightly wider in the cheek area and slightly pointed near the top.

3. Now we will add in the feathers on the top of Torchic’s head. There are three big feathers and three little ones inside the big ones.  Use they center guideline to help draw them.  The feathers will be symmetrical.

4. Let’s now add in Torchic’s face. We will start his beak right at the center where all the lines meet.  See our drawing for help with positioning.  The eyes will not be perfect circles.  They are slightly oblong.

5. The body is next! Draw one big circle.  Don’t worry about overlapping lines.  We will be deleting these later.

6. The next step is to add in Torchic’s feet. Both feet have three front toes.  Draw jagged lines at the base of the feet to represent feathers.

7. Next we will add the inside of the wings. Once again draw jagged lines to represent feathers.  Use our drawing for placement ideas.

8. We are almost there! Last pieces we need to add are the outside of Torchic’s wings.  Draw more jagged lines to represent feathers again.

9. Now our Torchic is almost done! We can remove the unnecessary construction lines and the overlapping lines.  Our drawing has the lines we are removing as red.

10. Now we are done! We can now color away!
